The way he was acting in this episode seemed suspicious to me. Idk why but he probably took it for himself. My theory is that the number 5 card makes you invisible, judging by the foot prints on the card.

He definitely had a third card unless the author f*cked up his own story. You can definitely see Chris indeed opened up that security box before it was closed again after. The card in the box must be a fake, the burned 2nd card also was a fake with how easily it was burned. It also can be that he team up with the 3rd party and decided not to switched the card while playing dumb. Or he's just with a 4th unknown party or dude is just a joker or just a mysterious box circumstance that we were not aware of. The worst of all would be just a poor written but i hope not.

Dropping this, gotten so boring now. Is it so hard to consistently make good anime these days.

i've been saying the story is going downhill after the 1st episode, tho im watching it now just to pass the time... yet another one in the collection of mediocre anime with potential sadly

what the hell is making go so downhill theirs nothing wrong here its like other shows doing the same concept of clever suspenseful heist

it started off good and thought it was gonna be a seriously toned detective/criminal anime but literally all the characters and the story feel forced... if u wanna watch a good suspenseful anime watch Yuukoku no Moriarty instead

Truly, the first episode is incomparable to the rest of the series, low-effort episodes that have 5 minute content but drag it out. With terrible execution.

That said, I will have some faith in this. I "dropped" Hikari no Ou halfway through the second episode, because the series arbitrarily made everyone hate the main character just to conveniently move the plot where the author wanted. He saw no other option than draft a terrible, off-putting and illogical scene just for the sake of directing the plot, and I cannot support that.

Here, though, just like in Boruto, there are highlights and there is the rest of the series. I will cautiously watching High Card by tapping the right arrow every few second, while I wait for the other episode where the rest of the budget went.
